Pundits galore head to Cleveland

Onboard a commercial airliner at Reagan National Airport —

I’ve had the misfortune to be subjected to various delays in getting to Cleveland today.

It appears I’m on the CNN plane. Wolf Blitzer is onboard doing whatever it is  Wolf Blitzer does. Also aboard are pundits Kevin Madden and Armstrong Williams. Donna Brazile is stuck here with us as we wait and wait.

James Carville, the omnipresent Democrat pundit, was in the terminal earlier. I snapped a photo of him (which accompanies this blog post).

At risk of sounding trite, this is a reminder of what huge productions the two parties’ nominating conventions are. Accredited journalists are expected to vastly outnumber actual Republican delegates at the approaching RNC convention.

It’s big business.
